I was doing some research on breakdowns and found that what actually breaks down is one's adrenal glands. This led me to do some research on strengthening the adrenal gland, and found something called adrenal fatigue. When one is under excess amounts of stress, the adrenal gland gets overused, and the symptoms are much like those of PTSD (extreme nervousness, difficulty thinking/concentrating, worry, depression, extreme fatigue). The adrenal can be rebuild via diet and supplements. Anyone else hear anything about this? It makes sense to me that an abused persons adrenal glands would become fatigued. I was so excited when I came across this info.
