My pulmonologist questions my Rheumy's diagnosis of polymyositis. In Feb 2008 I was having breathing difficulty and a rash on my hand, elbows, and feet. I also was very swollen in my hands and feet. Low grade fever off and on all the time for 7 months. All over weekness and pain. I was found to have pulmonary infiltrates and a higher than normal ck level (only 260 after being on prednisone for a month). I also tested positive for the Jo-1 antibody. I also had decreased albumin and elevated acute phase reactants suggesting acute inflammation. A muscle biopsy showed degeneration but said it could be from lack of use or steroid use. Im always tired. They are treating my with prednisone and Imuran. I don't know if Im having denial issues or if its just natural to question your diagnosis.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
