I got a call from my gyn last night with the results of the tests I had last week.
My blood work seemed "within normal range for insulin and glucose" but she said that the ratio between the two indicated PCOS.
What she was really concerned about is that I have a 3.5 centimeter "mass" on my left ovary. I've been having nagging pain for the last three weeks that is getting progressively worse.
Does her choice of words (it seems to me that she emphasized mass instead of calling it a cyst) mean anything else? She was insistant that I come in to discuss the options and go over everything in the office with her.
I have an appointment next monday to see her. I am a little worried. Had she said "you have a 3.5 cm CYST on your ovary" I wouldn't worry, but she said mass and if I remember correctly she corrected me when I said cyst.
I'm not happy about this and it could be just nothing but she scared the crap out of me with that.
anyone know what the difference would be?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
She also prescribed Met today, and I'm so excited! I took it with my lunch and I don't know if it's psychological or not, but I feel incredible.
