I am 27 years old and my doctor recently diagnosed me with POS. My last period was November of 2007 so I am almost going on missing 3 periods. I have always been regular with my periods, stopped taking birth control in August of last year, had 3 normal periods, and then they stopped after my November period (ironically as soon as my husband and I started trying to get pregnant). I am thin and have no abnormal hair growth, etc. My doctor did a bunch of blood work and a glucose test. She said I don't have any sort of diabetes so I guess she diagnosed me because my hormone levels were off. It is weird because I don't have any symptoms so I guess I am confused. She gave me medication to make my period start and then some ovulation medicine so I can try to get pregnant. I'm not sure if I should get a second opinion or not? I had never hears of POS until a few weeks ago and this is all very confusing to me. Any advise would be helpful.
