I'm taking Metformin, and apparently that could help get me pregnant quicker. Also I have a doc appt this friday to draw blood and see if I ovulated. If not they'll put me on Clomid. But lets say it works and I get pregnant, do they give me different meds to make sure that I can carry, or do we just wait and see whether I miscarry or not? Cause that's kind of sucky. Seems like there should be something they can give you to help balance your body and give you whatever hormone you arent producing.

They will test your blood to make sure and some times they can give you meds but not always. Sometimes there is a reason your body is misscarying it is like 10-15% of all pregnancies end in misscariage, but alot of people dont even know they are pg, But since we know within days it is hard on us.

I just want to add, if you aren't making enough progesterone, (which is a big reason most of us with pcos miscarry) your doc can give you suppositories to help with that. My RE monitored my hormone levels for a little while to make sure they were ok. I think all docs have their own procedure so it's hard to say but since you are so concerned I would request that they keep an extra close eye on you.

thank you very much for all of the replies. makes me feel a little better. I see my doc tomorrow, so I'll mention it to here. I saw that on another discussion here not to go to your reg OB/GYN, but that's who I'm going to and she's helped me tremendously. Do I really need to see someone "special" for this if she's helping me just fine?

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
