Hello! I am new to the group and need lots of support. My name is Amy. I am 38 yrs old, been married for 3 yrs and was diagnosed with PCOS in 1998. I have all the typical symptoms like weight gain, facial hair, infertility and etc., and last November I was diagnosed with liver disease due to insulin resistance. It feels like this condition has taken over my life in every aspect. I spend more days telling my husband how sick I feel then not. I've spent many years angry, frustrated and full of why me's. I have this neverending doom hanging over my head saying, "you are almost 40 yrs old and there is no way you will ever have children." How is any of this fair? Anyway, I could write a book about this condition and what it has done to my life. I need help and advice from anyone. I want nothing more than to be a mother. I've been through fertility treatments with no success. I am overweight, depressed, and getting older. I am on metformin and I take cinnamon. What can I do to get on track, start feeling better, lose weight and make a run at getting pregnant? Thanks for listening.
