I found out yesterday that I have PCOS. I will be meeting with the dr within the next couple weeks (hopefully) to discuss options. I know what to expect somewhat but was wondering if anybody could tell me a little about the path we are about to walk down. Or if there are questions we should be sure to ask her. Thanks so much!

After my dx, I did a lot of research about PCOS. I did not use Metformin at all. I controlled by blood sugar levels with my diet and exercise. You may want to try this first. See if you can control it on your own. Also, be aware that the bcp may be discussed. However, when you stop taking it, your symptoms may be worse then when you started. Again, watching what you eat (I went to a dietician specializing in diabetes) and with walking a few times per week I was able to control everything on my own without medication. That was 2 years ago and I am ovulating on my own. Hope this helps you. Good luck!

Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
