I had a gastric bypass in 2003 and the only reason I had it was because my doctor recommended it cause of health reasons, personally I was conten but I was told that it would control the hair issue and possibly help with hormone issues but nothing has changed, I still have all features of pcos. I dont think that gastric bypass is a cure for pcos symptoms. I did loose weight but thats about it, I still have everything that I was told would go away.

I read a book that said there is no known cure for PCOS...hysterectomy, menopause or anything else. You can only try to control the symptoms with diet and exercise.
