PCOS is kind of a mystery to doctors..They really don't know where it comes from..they say heredity for some cases, but no one in my family has this (FYI i dont have IR)..yes they can give us things to cope with the symptoms..and we know whats happening but why? Is it something plainly internal and we have no control over or could it be what we are putting in our bodies..a combination of both??? And i'm sure we can ask this question about many illnesses, but this is a PCOS support group..Since this disease is pretty hormonal what may have we all done to change our hormones?? Before I started taking both control pills at 20.I appeared to be pretty fertile. I been trying to get pregnant for a year now with no results but at 18 I got pregnant without even trying and probably only having sex once every three weeks. So noow im 26 i stopped taking BC at 25 and I know they prescribe BC to treat irregular periods with PCOS but for some reason I feel like they may have helped cause my PCOS is that crazy??
