I just got a call from my dr. Monday after taking urine and blood test last friday cuz I was having way too much pain in my right kidney. It felt like my cysts were about to rupture. Anyway, my dr. said my kidneys is functionally really low and my protein is low too. Good news is that there is no infection. I am learning more about PKD. She said to drink more water and eat more protein and get retest in two weeks. My questions are what determine that my kidneys functionlly low. And what I need to know about how the test determine about my kidney function? Like what consider normal, low or etc. Any advice would be great. Thanks!!
