My year and a half baby has PKD. He has high blood pressure, and is taking hypertensive medications (atenalol and norvasc). Even with the medications, his blood pressure is still high. Any advice on how to keep his blood pressure at a healthy level? Also, what does it mean when the doctors tell me his mineral levels (i.e. potassium, phosphorous, calcium) are high? Does this mean his kidneys aren't functioning well? Also, I would love to hear from another mother coping with a sick child, as this is sad and scary for me.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
