Sorry I had to add this today. And Sorry that I haven't been here for awhile also. Lots to do yaknow. I've had my kids most of the summer and try to give them my time. Joys both my kids got checked and both so far clear of pkd. They are young so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I've had alot of tests ran myself recently and had my gul bladder removed. The funniest part is the gull bladder surgery was nothing. LOL I mean really nothing. Aside from the slight upset stomach and readjusting to things to eat. The Dr.'s were wondering why I was up and trying to leave. I simply told them if you think that hurt try carrying my left kidney around for awhile. Of course I new something was wrong and that's what led me to the ER and then the surgeon, but the only reason I knew something was wrong was that it was on my right side instead of the left side. Well I finally got a ct scan instead of just getting ultrasounds and apparantly I have cysts all ower my liver also. I know that's possible with pkd for the cysts to be other places to but I was kinda hopeing for better odds. I also did flow tests on my kidneys and am awaiting the results on that. From what the person giveing the test was saying is that my left kidney is truelly just not much more good to me. My question is I guess to everyone if my left kidney is causing me so much pain and not doing me very much good at all why on earth can they not just remove it and let me get on with whatever normal life I can live without all of that pain from it? I realize that my right kidney has cysts also and probably isn't the greatist but it seemed to do well with the flow tests as far as i know. Does anyone know if they do take my left kidney will this in any way cause the disease to more heavily attack my other kidney or liver for that matter? This sounds stupid. But could there be any truth to this? My left kidney is pretty much destroyed this disease was very fast changing and aggressive on the left kidney. I know my right kidney and my liver also have cysts but they don't seem to be changing much. Are they just leaving my left kidney inside of my as like a designated decoy or something? Kinda like as long as this disease is just eating up something thats useless at this point in time why take it away. Will this disease start progressing rapidly somewhere else if they take it out. I know this thought doesn't sound very educated but I just can't think of any reason to leave it inside of me. Once again sorry if this sounds dumb but if anyone has any thoughts they would be appreciated.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
