To say we are low on money is the understatement of the year. I have, however, adjusted to the necessity for filing bankruptcy. I can't adjust, however, to the feeling that I have lost everything that I took for granted when I married him.
I just found out the Christmas gift plans with my family and he said we can't afford it. Please, don't tell me I have to give up buying gifts for my family now. I don't know how much lower I can go. It finally got to the point that he nixed the joy of my holiday.
WHAT IS THERE TO LOOK FORWARD TO?????????

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Good luck, feel better.
My daughter is going through some hard financial times right now. She and her husband have had to borrow money from me AND I have bought their groceries several times as well. I have told her that there will be no exchanging of gifts. She cannot afford it. The fact is, I already have more "stuff" than I need... and secondly, she would have to use my money to buy the gifts. I will buy presents... but please know:
MY joy comes from giving. (And I am not just saying that...)
I am more able to give to her this year. It could be different in times to come. She might have to loan me money and she might be the gift giver.
Christmas is not just gifts... It's being there for your family... and your family being there for YOU.
:) (spoken like a true mommy, huh?)
