Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
I received a letter today from the DA's office stating that they didn't think they had enough evidence to press criminal charges against my husband! It took me nearly an hour to figure out that they were referring to his breaking the protection order and resisting arrest three weeks ago. In the meanwhile, it's Saturday so none of the "cop shops" are open today. I looked online, called around to no avail. I finally looked through my binders of paperwork and court orders before I realized what this is pertaining to!
I swear, my knees were like jello and I was shaking soooo bad. I had a good cry and then took a sedative and am turning in early tonight.
These insensitive SOB's need to identify which case they are referring to when it comes to victims of violent crime! I'm going to call downtown on Monday just to make sure that I've got it right and to make a suggestion regarding the way this was handled. Geez!!!

I should clarify that my husband is charged with second degree felony assault for the DV! I thought that was what was being dismissed! No, that case is scheduled for jury trial in January. Thank God!

You've got guts, I admire you. Be sure you have the police on speed dial and notify your neighbors and friends in case he gives you some problems. You might want to get some pepper spray and keep in close by. I carry one on my keychain.

Thankfully, the state IS still pressing felony charges for his assault on me.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
