can someone pls explain to me why they think so many of their abusers are bipolar - bipolar is mood related and does not have a criteria for abuse especially physical abuse - i get reallly confused on this one as the differences between types of major depression and even different types of mania usually means a person with bipolar is more likely to hurt them self than another person - so could someone explain to me their perceptions of bipolar - there is two forms I and II and also different ways the illness may cycle - some ppl with the illness never even suffer true mania and those when depressed do not necessarily suffer psychotic symptoms with their depression - i think one is probably looking at a different mental health issue such as a personality disorder rather than a mood or affect disorder - it seems to be a reoccurring feature in posts and I really dont understand it - can someone explain to me pls
