Just wanted to let you all know that there is hope and you can overcome this. I am close to 50 years old and when I was in my late teens and early twenties I became agoraphobic. I spent almost two years in the one block proximity of my house. I tried hypnosis (didn't help), many kinds of drugs (somewhat helpful) and then I tried therapy sessions (both single and group sessions). The group therapy really helped me along, meeting other people who are in the same situation as you are. It was very hard to get to the counseling session but every week it became a little easier. Please do not give up on yourselves. It can and will get better.
