i have a 6 year old shih tzu malteese mix named oscar who has some pretty bad seizures. actually, he is my mothers dog but i have a feeling its going to have to be me who pays for the vet care and what not. anyway, does anyone know of any non-medicinal treatments for seizures in little dogs? or any coments about them? i really have qualms about putting my 10lb dog on drugs that i've been on like phenabarbitol and valium. any suggestions?

I have my maxed amount of epidural shots of my cervical DDD....(and no one cares about my lumbar DDD)..... I've done physical therapy, muscle relaxers, Amitriptyline, Nortryptiline, desipramine.....narcotics... So I decided to go to a spine specialist and they have me on Gabapentin. Its been two weeks and it did nothing for my lumbar ever... but it did seem to help my cervical and arm/hand pain...
