Hi my name is Linda and I have a 11 year Bichon who's name is Casper. We have been to Florida in the winter for about 12 years now, but just in the last year we have been down here most of the time. Well I ran out of the Advantage flea control and tried to use the ones that they sell from Walmarts or any other store, besides a vet. Wanted to wait till I got back to Michigan to see my vet, but this last weekend, my little Bichon started scratching like crazy and so I looked on his tummy and found fleas. This is the first time I can actually say he has ever had them before. Well I had to call a vet and go in and get some flea control. He has been scratching like crazy since. Even though I put the Advantage on right after we got back from the vet. I have checked but haven't seen any more fleas, and read the package and it says after 12 hours it will kill all the fleas. I don't want to give him a another bath yet because I need for the Advantage to work and don't want to rinse it off. I am wondering if anyone ever have this problem and how did you hadnle it.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
