My big cat, ode, whos picture is my avatar has always been fascinated with water. Like most cats he doesnt like getting wet, but he seems captivated by running water and likes to drink from the faucet. Id let it run constantly but that is too wasteful. When I lived on the country I installed a regular fountain on the front lawn and everyone was happy, the cats, the birds, the frogs and others I didnt see Im sure. Now, living in an apartment I cant do that. Ive seen fountains for pets but theyre expensive and large. Then it hit me, why not get a decorative type of fountain and see if that suits him. He seems pleased with it, I rinse it daily like I do the dogs water bowl and scrub it weekly. Does anyone else spoil their pets like that? My therapist says its not spoiling him, but my therapist once purchased a house because he it had a nice fenced yard and doggy door.so much for his perception!
