Pet Bereavement Support Group
The loss of a pet or animal to which one has become emotionally bonded can be an intense loss, comparable with the death of a loved one. Whilst there is strong evidence that animals can feel such loss for other animals, this community focuses on human feelings, when an animal is lost, dies or otherwise is departed.

i know this might be a bad kind of topic but i thought of this and i thought about it every time i think of my baby we had to put to sleep
if you could have one more day to spend with you friend, baby, or what ever you call you dog/cat
how would you spend it with them?
for me, it would just be me, her, and my mom on a christmas day just hanging out at the house and playing in the snow. afterwards, get back inside and get under a blanket and warm up and fall asleep with her between me and my mom

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
i would just like to hug her again and feel her warm body against my face.
I would tell them ALL that I LOVE them and that I'm SORRY I ever yelled at them for any reason whats so ever!
I would Play ball with Stanley, SING with Sissy and brush Angels cheeks til the end of time!
I would rock him in the rocking chair with him all cuddled up in his favorite blankie while singing "You are my sunshine" to him and then as he was getting sleepy we would go and take a nap with him cuddled by my chest like he always did. That was love. Pure love.
One more day with Patches: We get up around 5:30 am and go outside, come in and eat. She gets some of my english muffin. Then we go for a car ride to Ames, IA, where we first met. We spend the day running and playing at Peterson Pits, it's like a park but has amazing trails. She can swim and have fun. Then we would find her canine soulmate Diego and just play on the lawn. Another car ride to see her uncle Tim then back home to see grandma, grandma and aunt and uncle Brian and Carol. We all get to cuddle and say goodbye as she closes her eyes for the last time.
