Pet Bereavement Support Group
The loss of a pet or animal to which one has become emotionally bonded can be an intense loss, comparable with the death of a loved one. Whilst there is strong evidence that animals can feel such loss for other animals, this community focuses on human feelings, when an animal is lost, dies or otherwise is departed.

I just wrote you a very long story about my having to put my cat down last week, but I lost the whole thing. So I'll just tell you that I know exactly what you're feeling. I'm crying like a baby as I write this and I cry every day. I miss him so much. My therapis gave me this web site to help me with my grief. You might want to try it. It's only about pet benerment....it's www.petloss.com. Give it a try and I'll pray for your dog as I pray for my cat each night. Hang in there, I'm with you.
