So, my mom had the brilliant idea to name me after a singer she liked. I don't mind it, but I've always wanted a different name since I was very young. She also gave me no middle name, so I didn't even have a back up to fall on :P Recently I met someone who changed their first name legally to something they've always wanted! It's been having me think a lot! Has anyone changed their name or known someone that has? I know it's a lot of paper work and quite a bit of money - - but I'd much rather be named after my Mom's favorite flower than her favorite singer (who went all whack on drugs and is who knows where... ha ha)
