Before there was even a gas hike I have always combined trips. Living so far from town makes you better organized. I do it by keeping track of things I may need. This way I only shop once a week. Online I shop for may things and most have free shipping and no tax. drugstore.com is a good site. Most of my gifts I get from Amazon.com, free shipping and 1 click shopping. The neighbors also work together by calling if they are going to town and asking if each other needs something. Same with the mail, it is a 5 mile round trip to get mail. In nice weather I can ride my 4 wheeler that gets about 25 mpg vs the truck at 16 mpg. Don't think many of you are in my situation but I have always been a penny pincher....anyone need 50 ways to fix one pound of hamburger!
