Your experience with the progression of PD

PDdaughter
Hi all,
I'm new here, just today. Been searching for a support group (off and on) since my mom was diagnosed a year ago with PD. I'm concerned about the progression because of her "wierd" (to me anyway) symptoms. She is 86, her right hand shakes occasionally, she is weak in the legs and has fallen 3x recently with her walker. She is taking sinemet 3x daily and that's it.
She is getting more and more confused it seems, but in any of your experiences, does that sound like PD to you? Her hand that shakes is really very minor, other than that, her speech is fine, no facial rigidity, just weakness, that's her biggest complaint. Just thought I'd pick your brains...thanks...hugs to all.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
My mom is under the care of a Cleveland Clinic Neurologist, so I don't know where else to go. She had a neuro in another county, but she didn't like her. This doctor is very warm and takes so much time with her. I am glad to hear it might be the meds and not the PD. Thanks again, hugs to all.
good luck and bless you and your mom
