does anyone have a problem with family members that just don"t understand what its like to have pd? my daughter ,who lives with me gets so agggravated when i ask her to do something for me. i have tried to explain to her what its like and i don"t like asking,i would much rather do things myself. like when i needed some dressings change for another health problem she got an attitude cuz i was trying to tell her the best way to do it so it would stay on!....im so sick of it ,but i have no one else,any suggestions? im all hears.........

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. I guess I'm pretty lucky; my family has been wonderful, though they're still in the learning stage (me too!). I wish I had some helpful advice for those of you having trouble with your families, but all I can think of is to keep communicating, even if that involves some yelling and tears. Unfortunately, communication has to be two=way. I don't understand how someone could just turn their back on a family member in need, especially a parent. Maybe time will heal whatever is causing that attitude.
