Hi everyone! I'm getting hyped about going to NYC for the Unity Walk and the fundraising I am doing for that, and hopefully some PD awareness at the same time. I realize not everyone can go to the walk (but you can watch on webcast this year --see www.unitywalk.com for details), but I have a friend who is doing a neat thing to bring awareness about PD to the public thru one online website.
A friend has started an awesome online awareness site using Flickr
(an online photo community) and it is open to anyone who would like to
put your face or a tribute to one who's life has been impacted by PD
(caregivers , etc) for the world to know PD affects people just like
them! It is a group account in Flickr call 'Faces of PD'. If you
don't want your picture posted, but would like to share something about
your life w/PD, she can put up anykind of lovely scene you might like.
Please contact or go see: You can send your pictures or stories to
dgator383@aol.com if you're interested in participating, or you can
join www.Flickr.com for free and post something yourself @
http://www.flickr.com/groups/facesofpd/pool/
It is up to us to spread the word that we are sick and tired of PD, and we want a cure for Pete's sake!

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
