I have been fortunate for the most part that my son has adapted quite well to his lwop sentence. I have told you all how proud I am that he is doing so well. That is all changing. The last few calls have been primarily to talk about trying to find a lawyer who will look at his case and try to get him back to court. He has cellmates and friends who really believe he has a good chance of getting a lot less time. He has been a model prisoner for almost the entire time of 5 years. But here is the deal.... he took a plea deal of lwop in order to escape the needle. The prosecution and his attorney (PD) told him he would more than likely get death, his partner in crime had already taken the same deal. He also had confessed at different times that he was the leader and enabler to my son. his ideal, etc. But when I read the transcripts of the depositions, I was needless to say horrified at even the smallest of part my son had in the crime. I know that the judge told him ' you understand taking this plea..there is no paroles no appeals this is it..".. he answered yes your honor. I do not know how to help at this point. I am not familiar with any step in this whole courts and procedures. I feel I have to try to help if there is any possible chance it could be re-examined. I do not want him to live the rest of his life in prison. Help please.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
