I don't know if anyone else has tried this but you can set up an alert through Google for your son/daughter's prison or facility. I just did for my daughter's place and almost immediately got an alert about a class that is being sponsored by Rutgers called Community 101. It is meant to prepare the women for going outside. Teaches handling a checkbook and getting their driver's license/id, looking for a job, etc. There was a newspaper article about it. I printed it and sent it to my daughter. The alert can be for one reason like news or you can make it comprehensive. Sometimes you get stuff that isn't really related or of no interest, but that's okay. I did it mostly in case there is trouble there, which I hope won't happen. I think you just get your google search and put in "sign up for google alert". Let me know if you try it and how it works for you.
