I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I too was shocked at the number of people who are supposed to help or assist people are really hurting them by stumping on the last piece of hope that they have left. My son had a court appointed attorney who did nothing to help him. After 4 months, he never even went to see him to get his side of the story. This poor excuse for a defense attorney told me that I need to get used to the fact that my son will be in prison for a long time and that he didn't feel that he should get out to go to rehab because there are drugs in rehab. Needless to say, I hired an attorney who is doing his job.
The lesson is "you get what you pay for" in the system. Those that are not working for you are sometimes working against you.
Hang in there...
