Does anyone know if the helpfulness of medication is more drastic depending upon the type of ADHD one has? My oldest 10 yr. old son has ADHD-I (Inattentive without hyperactivity) and we began him on his first med. 18mgs of Concerta almost 3 weeks ago. Within an hour of him taking the meds. it was like magic! He could focus and communicate like never before and in school the positive results are just as drastic. Though he was increased to 27mgs to help with his low tolerance to frustration and distractions, I feel Concerta has been the best thing that has ever happend to us. My youngest 5 yr. old daughter has ADHD-C (Combined = Inattentive, Hyperactive, & Impulsive) and we just began her on 18mgs of Concerta 3 days ago. It's as if we never gave her the meds. at all. Her struggles are the same at home and at school. Is the Concerta not working as well on her because she's younger than her brother, or is it because she struggles with more ADHD symptoms than her brother, or what? I was hoping to have her squared away before school was out in 4 weeks, now I'm not so hopeful...

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
