Hi! My name is Jenny and I did join this group quite awhile ago but haven't taken the time to actually write about my problems with my oldest son, who is almost 17. I usually just read through your stories and understand almost all of you and continue on with my 4 boys. So I decided today I need some help, at least understanding. Ok, My oldest son was not diagnosted until 6th grade-would not take medication, so he's never been on anything. Doesn't want to admit he even has ADHD, has always had a hard time in school-he is in 11th grade, but at 10th grade level at the moment, trying to get caught up. I do have this wonderful lady at school that cares so much about my son graduating, she is a true blessing. She keeps track of the kids that are falling behind and keeps on them. Anyways, he pretty much has all the symptoms-impulsive, hyper, etc.-one of my questions is, is there anyone out there that has a teenager that will hit themselves in the face 20 times, pull their hair, scratch themselves when they are frustrated???? He came home from school today cause he is not feeling well-told him he should rest, not be on the computer if he is sick and he flipped and started hitting, pulling, scratching-he has done this for a long time but I am just feeling extra upset today! I think I just need to here from someone that feels the same way. Bless you all for all you go through. Jen

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
