I wonder if this is a nationwide trend or just an Arizona thing. My son is doing very well at school ademically because of the hard work that we put in at home. But because of the nature of ADHD (and autism), he has behavior issues at school. So what is happening is that he doesn't get any acknowledgement of his academic achievements at school. Every month, his school has an assembly where they hand out certificates for different academic achievements, citizenship awards, etc. My son never gets anything, and unfortunately, he is very sensitive. So every month he feels bad about himself and cries. I make up certificates for him at home to try to take a little bit of the sting out, but it's not the same. Does anyone else see this happeningZ?
