I have a 9 Year old son and he got diagnosed with ADHD about 3 weeks ago. The Doctor prescribed Concerta to him but he refuses to take it. I have tried everything taking stuff away to reward him if he would take it. I explain to him everyday that it will help him in school to concentrate and to stay on track but he just wont take it. The School he is going to said we can try it here at school so now he is supposed to be taking it at school but this does not help either. We tried the method with the Candy and he swallows that without any trouble but when we try to give him his pill he sais NO. I understand I am the parent and I have been trying everything possible what I can to get my son to take his medication but nothing seems to work. Please if anyone knows a trick or a way to give him his meds please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it. I am afraid if he does not take his medicatin it will get even worse then it is.
