We started Strattera with my 9 yr old, and it seemed to be working. We didn't see too many of the side effects we were told about, and between that and the ongoing therapy sessions he seemed to be doing better. Then.... yesterday he wouldn't take his dose.... it took awhile to get him to finally take it. Today he flat out refused, and stormed off to his room. He says it's because he doesn't like swallowing them, but it seems as if most of the ADHD drugs aren't available as anything but capsules or tablets. It's not the drug itself he is refusing, it is the pill swallowing. Anybody have any suggestions on getting past this pill-swallowing phobia?
