I spent the last week in good spirits thinking my son had started to take steps to get himself into rehab only to find out yesterday that he didn't go to his appointment to be assessed. The really disappointing thing in this is he told me elaborate lies and led me to believe he was waiting for a call from the agency. My support councillor said I have to lower my expectations, and that for addicts, making a decision and actually following through with it could take some time. I thought I had been given an early Christmas present, but the reality is the roller coaster ride is far from over. The hurtful part for me is my own son can look me in the eye and lie.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
