On the first day of school, my 11 year old came home from junior very upset. I asked him if he wanted to talk and he said that he needed time alone. About an hour later, he came to me and said that his teacher was talking to the class about the dress code. She said," Do not wear saggy pants of shorts unless you want to look like the gay men in prison saying COME GET ME" I got so angry. I wanted to call the school right then and there but decided that I would let his father handle the problem. Yesterday we told his father and sure enough he called the principal and ordered that my son be removed from this tearchers class. My son was happy. My husband and I have a lesbian friend who my kids love and he also has an uncle who just got released from prison so that comment really offended him. Did we make the right choice? i think we did. I just dont want this teacher to be ugly to my son in the future. I want him to handle some issues on his own but I think this issue was for us to handle.

I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...
