Hello. This is the first year we're doing this and it's just for a couple of weeks. My 12 year old daughter who will be 13 next month is watching her sisters, 10 and 7 for about 4 hours a day during the initial start of summer break. i have a family friend stopping in around 10 or 11 to make sure all is going well, help them with lunch and then she leaves around 2 or 3 and then my 12 year old is in charge before that and after that until I'm home. SO, I'm thinking I should proabably pay my daughter a small wage, not what I would a babysitter, for taking on this responsibility to some degree. Thoughts? Is this fair or should I just have her watch her sisters because she's their sister. How has this worked for the rest of you?
