last year all i did was stop Xmas celebrations for afternoon tea/ birthday party which they mostly slept through anyway....

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Also, you could always celebrate with their 1/2 birthday on June 25th.
I don't think you have to double the amount of gifts but they should separate holiday and birthday gifts. Maybe you start a new tradition... you open birthday presents on Christmas Eve and Christmas Presents on Christmas Morning.
I hope this was helpful.
How about a Neverland Party...son can have Peter Pan theme while daughter goes for the Tink theme...Peter Pan has great music & you could even have the movie playing in the background if it's indoors....glitter for pixie dust & pirate favors work for peter pan as well. This way you can have two parties in one.
We do d/s party a week or two before his birthday w/friends. This way, can just have a family dinner on Christmas Eve w/cake & then Christmas the following day...it gets tiring, but it's so important to separate the two festivities so they don't feel that their birthday is overshadowed by Christmas. I always just make sure that all birthday gifts are wrapped in birthday paper & not Christmas paper, of course & having a theme party helps give the birthday some separation from the holiday season. Good luck :)
