My toddler hits hubby and I when he doesn't get his way or we tell him no. How can we tell him "no hitting" without spanking since obviously this sends a mixed message. Time out has not worked for us since he doesn't seem to correlate the two actions. Redirecting is good, and I would like some advice from folks who have tried this, but sometimes this is not possible when we are in a public place or at a friends house with nothing to redirect to.

I have my maxed amount of epidural shots of my cervical DDD....(and no one cares about my lumbar DDD)..... I've done physical therapy, muscle relaxers, Amitriptyline, Nortryptiline, desipramine.....narcotics... So I decided to go to a spine specialist and they have me on Gabapentin. Its been two weeks and it did nothing for my lumbar ever... but it did seem to help my cervical and arm/hand pain...
