My son is 7 months old but I just want some advice from people who have been there :) He is definitely not a self soother. We used to attend to his every need but now I'd like to teach him to be a little independent - such as waiting for me in the crib for 5 minutes while I go to the bathroom. He just goes into such a frenzy and cries on top of his lungs. Not every time but pretty often. He does the same when he wants to be picked up from the floor, when I step around the corner to take something from the kitchen, when he wants out of the stroller. He seems to have very low tolerance and I can't see it building up even when I let him wait a little. Was anyone's child like this as a baby? Did it become better and when? I see he's a little better able to play now that he cat sit up and crawl, but he still gets very easily frustrated. Boy, I can imagine temper tantrums we'll have when he's older :) Thanks!

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
