My husband and I had this conversation last night, and I was curious to see other's point of view on the subject. Our oldest is only 2 1/2, but when our new baby is born, she will be 3 and going to a daycare. I feel that it would be pointless for her to have a phone, although she is perfectly capable of calling from an adult cell phone, there are caregivers at the center that are more than able to call in case of emergency. There are many "kid-friendly" phones out there that make it easy for a child to call pre-programmed numbers. If it stays in her bag, and she was kidnapped from the center, why in the world would they grab her bag as well?? These phones come with GPS tracking in case your child is lost and has their phone with them, but I see that no situation should arise where my 3 year old would be away from me that could allow for her to be abducted. I dont know, Im skeptical, but my husband is all for it. What do you think?
