My daughter will be 3 in about 3 months. She has a horrible diaper rash. the worst I've ever seen. I brought her to the doctor because Boudreaux's Butt Paste wasn't working. She diagnosed her with vulvitis (caused by soap). They gave me a hand out and on there it said to let her soak in baking soda baths, apply 1% hydrocortisone cream, stop using soap and give her more water. She also prescribed Nystatin cream. I used the hydrocortisone cream until the next day when I got the Nystatin. The Nystatin made it worse and spread. I called the office and the nurse said I could try the triple effect. Put liquid Maloxx then the Nystatin then vaseline. Still didn't work. Brought her back to the doctor and he said to use the Nystatin and then Boudreaux's on top and it probably won't go away until she is potty trained. He recommended going bare bottomed to let it air out. Also both doctors said it is a yeast infection also. I'm trying to potty train her and the bare bottom thing has caused her to urinate on the floor because she's isn't trained yet. I'm tired of cleaning up urine out of the carpet. She is in a lot of pain because of this. I've also been advised by a friend to try Aquaphor healing ointment. Has anyone else had this problem. This is not your ordinary diaper rash. HELP!
