I was a climber when I was 2 (followed my dad up a ladder onto the roof), so of course my son is a climber. Currently he is pushing the kitchen chair over to the counter and climbing up. I am in the process of removing everything from the counter and a hanging basket so that it is less exciting. I have put a rubber band around the cabinet knobs until I can get to the store and by another cabinet lock. Short of removing all chairs from my house, does anyone have any suggestions?
And someone please tell me that I'm not the only one who has put a cabinet lock on an upper cabinet!!!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Another thing is try to defer him to something that is ok to climb. My friend has a little gym inside and her kids have learned to climb that not her counters. Mine gets up and dances on the coffee table.
Sorry I cannot be of more help. Maybe someone else has some better ideas
I agree, try to give him a safe place to climb and encourage him to climb there instead of the chairs/cabinets etc. Good luck and I totally feel for you!
He still tries to climb when we're inside on a rainy day, but we often spend a good bit of the day dancing, visit friends or family with kids his age or go to an indoor play centre to distract him when he's getting really adventurous.
He is so curious, it's fascinating to watch him learn!
