I have a son that will soon be 4. He was born premature, at 25 weeks, but is now doing very well, with the exception of minor eye problems and major feeding problems. He was on a feeding tube for a short time after birth, but now he can eat soft foods such as mashed potatoes or foods that can be almost liquified with a blender. He also still eats lots of baby food, which his doctor says he may be on for another year or so. But we also have a 2 1/2 year old son that was born right on time and has no problems. He can eat whatever he wants, but when he sees his older brother eating baby food, he just has to have it to. If we can get them away from one another at meal times, the baby will eat whatever you fix him, but if he sees brother eating that baby food, he will refuse to eat until we give him a couple of jars of the baby food also. The 2 1/2 year old also wants baby food now as a snack, which I think is o.k., because he is better off with that than a sugar filled cookie or something. Is there any harm with the baby still eating baby food also?
