I have twin toddlers soon to be 2 and they still want there bottles and chuck a huge tanty...could it be that she needs the milk as she is going through a growth spurt at all?
if she isn't eating much i would be ok with the drink as much milk thingy as it must be giving her enough of what she needs...sorry i can't be much more of a help mmmm i may go poke Dr Jeremy for you!
A common thread among my poor early toddler eaters is that they are taking in too much milk. What I recommend is no more than 16oz of milk/day...I have less of a concern when the toddlers are good eaters if they are drinking a bit more...but for the poor eaters, lets limit it to 16oz/day of regular milk at 1 year of age.
As far as trying to get her to eat a bit more, and not sure if you are doing this, but try to give the food before any bottle/cup in the morning and meals in general.
Now the transition to a sippy cup can be very difficult (as you are currently experiencing) and when things are this tough, I will suggest to my parents it is ok to add a little flavoring to the regular milk in the sippy cup in order to get them used to the cup. With my oldest, I added a pinch of strawberry flavoring, which did the trick way back when and over time, slowly wean the strawberry out.
Hang in there,
Dr. Jeremy
