I am a single mother of 3 boys. My eldest are 15 and 13. They do not have a father figure in their life. They have taken sex education class at school. I have spoken with my 15 yr. old on several occasions about safe sex and related topics. I don't believe that he is having sex but of course I would be the last to know if he were! My 13 yr. old is becoming more aware of his body. I overheard him talking with his friend the other day about erections and liking girls. My boys feel very embarrassed when I approach the subject with them. They don't feel comfortable talking to me about their feelings or having "the sex talk." Since they don't have a male to talk to I was wondering if I should call their pediatrition, who is a man, and make an appointment for them to talk to him, without mom in the room. Maybe I can have then write down their questions in a private journal beforehand and take it with them. Have any other parents done this before? Would I just be embarrassing them further? Also should I buy condoms for my 15 yr. old? Even if he isn't having sex? He dosn't have a girlfriend. By the way I am 30 yrs. old. I had my kids as a teenager myself. And my parents just pretended like they didn't know that my boyfriend spent the night at our house for months. They never spoke about anything to me. Then they were so surprised when I was pregnant! So I don't have any parent role models to fall back on. Just the fact that I will NOT repeat their mistakes! Any help is appreciated.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
