TV-blood pressure-obese children

I have attached the link below which highlights recent research finding obese children who watch greater amounts of TV (4+ hours/day) were three times (3x) more likely to have high blood pressure in children who watch less than 2 hours a day (which is the current American Academy of Pediatrics recommendation).
The research article was printed in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine and is the first study to find a link between TV and blood pressure in obese children.
So what do we do? Less TV (including video/computer games), healthy eating and more physical activity.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I would recommend anyone to do this.
It may be a case of looking at the past through rose-colored glasses, but I've read repeatedly of the unwelcome but addictive intrusion of entertainment technology.
The piano, for instance, was a huge part of American life before the radio came along, at which point everyone stopped talking and started listening. Then TV, and our eyes and ears were captured. And now video games and computers. I spend countless hours information grazing on a laptop. Binging on content. It's pleasurable, but rarely really interesting or useful. Of course, it can be, but generally only with focus, determination, and effort.
