My oldest daughter has always been bigger framed than I hoped. But I have never let her think for even a minute that she is fat. She is getting ready to go into highschool next year, and I don't want the other kids at school to make fun of her(for lack of a better term). I have tried showing her how to eat right, and we get out and exercise, but not as often as we should. She stays fairly active.. she plays sports in school, and when not in school she is usually outside doing something. She doesnt just sit around and watch tv. My question I guess is... should I try a little more to steer her to lose some weight without making an issue of it, or let her enjoy the rest of her childhood and worry about her weight later in life? My fear is that she will obsess about her weight and cause her self esteem to plummit(sp), or cause her to develop and eating disorder.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
