OK so my niece (being 15) has a nice boyfriend that just turned 17. This weekend he is staying at our house. I laid some rules down like, he sleeps on the couch and her in her bed. They were watching movies all cuddled up on the couch, covered up but I feel a little uneasy about it. I was 15 once. I know what can happen. So I had my husband (her biological uncle) go make sure nothing was to happen. Sexual wise I mean. I asked him to be nice, as it can be embarrassing, and he got a little annoyed. Saying I'm overreacting. I don't feel I am. I don't want a pregnant 15 yr old on my hands. How should I be handling this sleepover? Does anyone have any specific rules I should know about? I'm trying so hard to make her comfy here since she lost her mom and was rejected by her step-dad's family. All she has left is us. I don't want her to hate us but I don't wanna give her to much room to roam and get into trouble either. So I need to know what should I do and not do I guess. What should I allow? This is so hard but I know I have to stick to the rules once I figure out what they are. I really have no clue how to raise a teen yet. I'm only 27 and scared of screwing up....any suggestions....PLEASE?!
