My 6 year old daughter has to have surgery in a hospital 3 hours away from our home town. She could possibly be in the hospital for 3 days. I also have a 3 year old. I can't decide whether, or not I should take our 3 yr old along, or leave her with my mother. I don't want to traumatize her by leaving her for so many days, but I also want to be able to give my oldest daughter the attention she needs while she is in the hospital. I know my mother would take good care of her, but my youngest is used to being with me and my husband all the time. I can't make up my mind. Any advice?

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
